These are scans of a female Cardinal Meadowhawk caught and scanned at Bigsnest Wildlife Pond, Sebastopol, Sonoma Co., CA on March 31, 2000. She had fallen upside down into the pond and appeared to already be dying of old age!
She measured 38 mm.
