This male California Darner, Aeshna californica was
caught, identified, photographed and then released at Five Brooks Pond, Pt.
Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, on April 18, 1999.
Note the lack of top thoracic stripes, plain paddle shaped appendages and the black line across the face, all good ID marks.
